BIOGRAPHY
Kenneth is a soft spoken, 49 year old, resident of Malagash,
Cumberland County, on the north shore, of the mainland of Nova
Scotia. Quietly living here all his life, he commands much respect
for his art.
He studied painting in the fine arts program at St. Francis Xavier
University in Antigonish, with further studies under artists,
DeGarth, Julius Zarand, Donald Pentz, Henry Purdy, Tom Roach,
Tom MacKay, and Ann Meredith Berry.
His paintings have been widely admired for their freshness of
vision, their clarity of statement and bold use of colour.
Particularly for their ability to evolve subtle emotional responses
to natural forces inherent in the pastoral and rustic scenes which
he so fully captures on canvas. These qualities have resulted in
widespread purchase and exhibition of his works, in the
Maritimes and other Canadian provinces, the USA and abroad.
Mr. MacIntosh works primarily in acrylic but also works in
watercolours.
