BIOGRAPHY

Born near Amherst, Nova Scotia, in 1946, Cyrille is the descendant of a
powerful Grandmother, now deceased, who still guides him on the Red
Path of Life.  As a young man Cyrille did various kinds of work including:
lumber jacking, farming, working with horses, cattle, road paving,
cooking, circus prop boss and nickel mining to name a few.  Although
Cyrille has been drawing and sketching over the years, it wasn’t until
1999that he became seriously involved with his Art Work.

Up to 1999, his Art Work was developing, but not fully within the spirit of
the nature that he wanted.  Today Cyrille is creating with many diverse
themes in his art, but credits his source of inspiration to a VERY strong
connection to Mother Earth and the Great Spirit.  It wasn’t until Cyrille
recognized the blessings of Mother Earth, through the members of the
Bear Spirit Métis People, that he found the higher skill levels in his Art
Work, that had eluded him before.

Cyrille is a full Citizen of the Bear Spirit Métis People.  Now the journey
continues, Cyrille fells the strong call of the wild and hopes this is
reflected in his work.  Cyrille presently works in Halifax and is living and
painting in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
